Italy: colossal Venus holding scallop shell

Lower part of a colossal statue of Venus, preserved from the waist down, and standing on a base decorated with rosettes; the scallop shell she held and the billowing drapery around her legs is preserved. 

Marble, 180 cm, second or third century AD
